For children aged 11 to 16 the nearby Comberton Village College offers an excellent education opportunity. The school is being expanded to accommodate the Cambourne community. It has long been regarded as one of the best schools in Cambridgeshire and last year it became one of only 250 schools in the country to be designated as a Beacon School. This acknowledges the fact that the school is viewed as outstanding by the Department for Education and Skills.
